Katie Davis
Founder + Lead Designer
Katie Davis is a Houston-based interior designer focused on all aspects of residential design. She takes a practical approach to her work, emphasizing the idea that a home should be truly lived in above all else. Her portfolio is filled with stylish spaces that nod to a new-traditional aesthetic, while maintaining a sense of modernity and an eye for today’s trends.
Katie’s appreciation for design started from a young age, when her family undertook a major remodel of the home. She observed her mom and an interior designer work together to develop, coordinate, and implement a shared vision for her family’s home—an imaginative and collaborative process that still resonates with her today. And so began her love affair with beautiful spaces, and quality furniture, fabrics, and materials.
Life, however, took Katie in a different direction. Upon graduating from the University of Texas, she went on to attend law school. During her years as a practicing attorney, design remained a favorite hobby, until she fully embraced her second life, and her first love, launching Katie Davis Design in 2018.
She currently resides in Houston, with her husband and two young kids. Her own growing family serves as the foundation for her designs, creating beautiful, vibrant living spaces that are comfortable, timeless, and can transition easily to the next phase of a client’s life. Katie Davis Design has been published in numerous publications including Southern Living, House Beautiful, Luxe Interiors + Design, Domino, This Old House, Modern Luxury Interiors Texas, Houston Chronicle, Real Simple, and Homes & Gardens.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Kate relocated to College Station to attend Texas A&M University (Gig ‘em!), where she majored in Supply Chain Management. Following graduation, Kate worked as a procurement representative and buyer for an oil and gas company before widening the gap between her and her hometown and moving to Australia to work at a global toy company. In 2020, Kate returned to Houston and joined the Katie Davis Design team as a Logistics Coordinator. Kate’s supply chain background, attention to detail, and eye for design make her an asset to work with. Constantly on the hunt for vintage finds for her own home, Kate applies a made-to-order, personalized approach to all her work with clients.

Mary Kate grew up in Boerne, Texas and attended Baylor University where she first developed her love for interior design working at Magnolia Home. After graduating with a degree in communications, Mary Kate moved to Houston with her husband where she pursued her interior design career. She worked with such firms as Creative Tonic and Paloma Contreras, before joining Katie Davis Design in 2019. Mary Kate is committed to creating authentic spaces that truly reflect its inhabitants, drawing upon texture and color to characterize an environment. With a more traditional design sensibility and an eye for today's trends, Mary Kate offers a unique, individualistic approach to each project on which she works.

Interior Designer
Claire is originally from Columbia, South Carolina. She studied Interior Design receiving her bachelor's degree through Auburn University’s CIDA Accredited Interior Design Program. She always knew she wanted to pursue a creative career and Interior Design is just the right fit! Claire loves creating colorful and elevated living spaces in homes and joined Katie’s design team in 2021.
She believes that a home’s main inspiration is the people who live there, making each home a unique story through not only the focal points but the details of the design. Her favorite part of the job is meeting clients and being able to make the process of creating a livable and beautiful space personal and fun.
Claire Darnall
Interior Designer
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Ansley made her home in Houston after graduating from Auburn University, where she earned a degree in communication and nonprofit studies. Following graduation, her love of people and community led her to work full time in ministry, coordinating events in her spare time. Ansley enjoys creating aesthetically pleasing gathering spaces, and was thrilled to join Katie Davis Design in 2020. She embraces the challenge of taking an individual client's lifestyle and needs to help assemble a unique and customized space. Ansley loves using playful patterns, natural tones, and modern lines to create something beautiful for each client.
Ansley Harris
Interior designer
Originally from Marshall, Texas, Anna made her way to Houston after attending the University of Texas at Austin—a loyalty she and our founder have in common. (Hook 'em Horns!) Graduating with an education degree, Anna worked as a first grade school teacher before she embarked on her "second life" in the interior design industry. Design is a natural fit for Anna, as her parents ran their own architecture firm throughout her upbringing. She was raised with a deep appreciation for and understanding of design, something she carries with her at Katie Davis Design. Her instinct for pattern mixing makes her an asset to our team, and her enthusiasm for each project enables her to get to know our clients' unique personalities and lifestyles with ease.
Cheryl has spent the majority of her adult life in Houston and spent the last 20 years running a business alongside her husband and pouring her heart and soul into her three kids. Prior to that, she worked in the logistics department at both Marathon Oil and Nike.
Cheryl joined Katie Davis Design as the Logistics Director in January of 2021. Her precise attention to detail and purposeful organization made her an instant complement to the team. When it comes to design, Cheryl believes in finding an item that is well-loved and works in the space perfectly (even if it means waiting with an empty space for a while.) To Cheryl, your home is the backdrop for your family’s memories and should complement your family’s lifestyle rather than compete with it.
Born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Lauren graduated from Millsaps College with a degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana where her favorite hobby became taking walks throughout the Garden District and Uptown neighborhoods to admire the historic and charming design of all the beautiful homes. During these walks Lauren cultivated and grew her own unique style, dreaming of all of the design possibilities she would incorporate if she had the opportunity to design them. In 2019, Lauren moved to Houston where she began her pursuit of a career in interior design. Using her business background and passion for interiors, Lauren landed a job with a residential interior design firm where she managed logistics and business operations. In 2022, Lauren joined Katie Davis Design as a designer with the mission to help her clients cultivate beautiful and functional homes that allow their personalities to shine. Lauren is inspired by the use of color, fun patterns, and a love for antiques. She has a traditional yet playful style and believes her design style is grounded in her southern roots where she developed an appreciation for old, beautiful homes and designs that makes a house feel like a home.
Lindsey, a native Houstonian, attended Baylor University where she earned a degree in journalism and public relations. Following graduation, Lindsey moved to Dallas with her husband, Connor, where she worked in marketing for a non-profit organization. In 2018, Lindsey and Connor moved home to Houston, where she saw an opportunity to apply her marketing expertise to the design field with the team Katie Davis Design. She has a true passion for interiors and challenges the Katie Davis Design team to think outside the box. She loves to make a home more lively through soft color and pattern, while still being drawn towards calming spaces. She is always game to explore new ideas in the most beautiful and effective ways possible to create the best space for our clients.
